Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion to sprint in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix was second in the 200 meters race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed a pro-contract to Adidas. In the year 2004, she began her studies at her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She was able to defend her title in 2007, defeating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in the Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three of her competitions.
